Lake Travis High School
Lake Travis High School is a nationally-recognized, comprehensive high school serving approximately 2,500 students. The school offers more than 210 courses utilizing a multi-level curriculum designed to meet the needs of each student. Fourteen Pre-AP and 26 Advanced Placement courses are offered in English, math, science, social studies, computer science, other languages, music and art. A variety of career and technical courses are also offered. A special education life skills program is available to meet the needs of identified students. The school operates on an alternating block format with four, 90-minute classes meeting every other day. Four 9-week terms comprise the school year. Terms 1 and 2 make up the fall semester from August to December, while Terms 3 and 4 make up the spring semester from January to May.
In addition, a strong athletic program offers participation in 17 competitive sports. Students also have the opportunity to participate in band, drill team, cheerleading, choir, orchestra, debate, theater and UIL academic activities. There are also more than 50 student clubs and organizations across the campus. Lake Travis High School is located at 3324 Ranch Road 620 South in Austin, 78738.
